God Has A Future Of Hope For You

Do not let your heart envy sinners,
but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.
There is surely a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off.

Proverbs 23:17, 18

"For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you
and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me
and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you”.

Jeremiah 29:11, 12

You Are Precious

God so loved the world,
that he gave his beloved son, so that whoever
believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.

John 3:16

I praise you because I am
fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 139:14

He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

God's Love

“Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

And I pray that you, being rooted
and established in love,
may have power, together with all the saints,
to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

Ephesians 3:17, 18

Prayer To The Holy Spirit- Inspired by the hymn Veni Sancti Spiritus

Come, Holy Spirit, pour out of the depths of the Trinity a ray of Your light-that light which enlightens our minds and, at the same time, strengthens our wills to pursue the light.

Come, Father of the poor, the poor in spirit, whom You love to fill with the fullness of God.

You are not only Giver of gifts, but Giver of Yourself, the supreme Gift-the Gift of the Father and the Son.

You are the best consoler! What a charming Guest You make! Your conversation, though all in silence, is sweetness itself. How refreshing Your consolation! Soothing like a caress. In an instant You dissipate all doubt and sadness.

In the labor of fighting temptation, you are there promising victory. Your presence is our victory. You gently coax our timid hearts to trust in You.

In the greatest of labors, the struggle of self-surrender, You are our repose-our peace in the depth of our souls.

In the heat of battle, Your breath is cooling, calming our rebellious passions, quieting our fears when it looks like defeat. You dry our tears when we fall. It is You who give the grace of compunction and the sure hope of pardon.

Oh deliriously happy Light! Fill to the uttermost recesses the hearts of Your faithful children!

Without You, there is no divine life in us, no virtue at all. If your breath is cut off, our spirit perishes; nor can it live again until You press Your lips to our mouths and breathe into them the breath of life.

Your touch is as dew, but You act with a strong hand. Gentle as the softest breeze, You are also in the whirlwind.

Like a giant furnace blast, You dry up all our faculties-but only to melt the hardness of our hearts.

You cast us before You like dead leaves in the winter's gale-but only to set our feet upon the narrow way.

Now, as a mighty Wind coming, pour down torrents to wash away our sins. Drench with grace our dried out hearts. Soothe the wounds You have cauterized. Give to all who trust in You-with that true trust which only You can give-Your seven sacred Gifts.

Grant the reward of virtue; that is, Your very Self! Grant perseverance to the end! And then, everlasting joy!

Amen.

The Blessing of Saint Clare

May Almighty God bless you.

May He look upon you
with the eyes of His mercy
and give you His peace.

May He pour forth
His graces on you abundantly
and in Heaven
may He place you

Prayer for Peace

O God from Whom are all holy desires, righteous counsels and just works, give to Thy servants that peace which the world cannot give; that our hearts being disposed to keep Thy commandments and the fear of enemies taken away, the times, by Thy protection, may be peaceable.

Angel Of My Eucharist

Angel of my Eucharist
It is you who will delight my heart
Yes, it is your sweet melody
That will console my sorrow.
I thirst to give myself to souls
But too many hearts are indifferent
Seraphim, give them your flames
Bring them with your sweet songs.
I would like the soul of the Priest.

To look like the heavenly Seraphim!
I would like him to be born anew
Before going up to the Altar!

In order to obtain this miracle
Some souls near the tabernacle,
Praying unceasingly,
Should offer themselves to me every day.

A Visit with Jesus

I will pay a visit to Jesus at least once each day. In my own words I will tell Jesus that I believe that He is truly present in the tabernacle and that I adore Him, as He is my God. I will talk to Him about any joy or trouble I have had since my last visit. I will say a short prayer, for instance: "Jesus, my God, I adore Thee here truly present in the Sacrament of Thy love."

Make Of Me A Tilma

O Most Holy Lord, You can do all things. Make of me a tilma.

To show forth your love to the peoples of the New World. You caused the image of Your Merciful Mother to appear on the cloak of Juan Diego long ago. If this rough-hewn fabric could attract your attention and be useful in Your plan, surely a willing soul like mine can serve Your purpose as well.
Make of me a tilma.

Take from me all that would spoil or distort the work of Your hand. May Your Holy Spirit render me clean and ready to receive so great a gift. Impress upon me the image of Your pure and Holy Mother. May her countenance, her presence, her love be indelibly stamped upon me.
Make of me a tilma.

In this time when pagan culture threatens to engulf Your people once more and destroy human life, let there be a fresh miracle of grace. Send Your Mother for a new evangelization. Upon the coarse fabric of my life, draw this portrait so pleasing to You….The image of Mary….
May this beautiful Woman, clothed with the sun live out her triumph in me….
Crushing the serpent, radiating Your mercy and leading to faith all those who gaze upon her.
Yes , Lord, make of me a tilma.

Amen

A Prayer To Mary

Mary, Mother of Jesus, give me your heart, so beautiful, so pure, so Immaculate, so full of love and humility that I may be able to receive Jesus in the Bread of Life, love Him and serve Him in the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor.

Amen

Blessed Mother Theresa

Act Of Entrustment To Mary

Mary, my Mother, let me live within your heart and there receive a share of your own love for Jesus, for the Church and for all people. Give me some measure of your own humility and surrender to the will of the Father. May Jesus take on flesh in me. Like you, I want to be a spouse of the Holy Spirit, docile to His gentlest inspiration and join you in signing a Magnificat for all eternity! Totus Tuus, Maria ! I belong to you. I want to be …..
All YES
Only YES
Always YES

Amen

Do You Hear Him?

Do You Hear Him?
The man whispered, "God, speak to me,"
and a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me,"
and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, "God let me see you."
And a star shined brightly.
But the man did not see.
And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle."
And, a life was born.
But, the man did not notice.
So, the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know you are there."
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away...and walked on.
The man cried, "God, I need your help!"
And an e-mail arrived reaching out
with good news and encouragement.
But, the man deleted it and continuned crying....
Dont miss out on a blessing because it isn't
packaged the way you expect.
Expect the unexpected

You are Christ

You are Christ, my Holy Father, my Tender God, my Great King, my Good Shepherd, my Only Master, my Best Helper, my Most Beautiful and my Beloved, my Living Bread, my Priest Forever, my Leader to my Country, my True Light, my Holy Sweetness, my Straight Way, my Excellent Wisdom, my Pure Simplicity, my Peaceful Harmony, my Entire Protection, my Good Portion, my Everlasting Salvation.
Christ Jesus, Sweet Lord, why have I ever loved, why in my whole life have I ever desired anything except You, Jesus my God? Where was I when I was not in spirit with You? Now, from this time forth, do you, all my desires, grow hot, and flow out upon the Lord Jesus: run . . . you have been tardy until now; hasten where you are going; seek Whom you are seeking. O, Jesus may he who loves You not be an anathema; may he who loves You not be filled with bitterness.
O, Sweet Jesus, may every good feeling that is fitted for Your praise, love You, delight in You, adore You! God of my heart, and my Portion, Christ Jesus, may my heart faint away in spirit, and may You be my Life within me! May the live coal of Your Love grow hot within my spirit and break forth into a perfect fire; may it burn incessantly on the altar of my heart; may it glow in my innermost being; may it blaze in hidden recesses of my soul; and in the days of my consummation may I be found consummated with You!
Amen.

Litany Of Humility

O Jesus! Meek and humble of heart, hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
From the desire of being loved,
From the desire of being extolled,
From the desire of being honored,
From the desire of being praised,
From the desire of being preferred,
From the desire of being preferred,
From the desire of being consulted,
From the desire of being approved,

Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being humiliated,
From the fear of being despised,
From the fear of suffering rebukes,
From the fear of being calumniated,
From the fear of being forgotten,
From the fear of being ridiculed,
From the fear of being wronged,
From the fear of being suspected,

Deliver me, Jesus.
That others may be loved more than I,
That others may be esteemed more than I,
That in the opinion of the world, others may increase, and I may
decrease,
That others may be chosen and I set aside,
That others may be praised and I unnoticed,
That others may be preferred to me in everything,
That others become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy
as I should,

Jesus grant me the grace to desire it.
Amen.

Prayer for Choosing a State of Life

From all eternity, O Lord, You planned my very existence and my destiny. You wrapped me in Your love in baptism and gave me the Faith to lead me to an eternal life of happiness with You. You have showered me with Your graces and You have been always ready with Your mercy and forgiveness when I have fallen. Now I beg You for the light I so earnestly need that I may find the way of life in which lies the best fulfillment of Your will. Whatever state this may be, give me the grace necessary to embrace it with love of Your holy will, as devotedly as Your Blessed Mother did Your will. I offer myself to You now, trusting in Your wisdom and love to direct me in working out my salvation and in helping others to know and come close to You, so that I may find my reward in union with You for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer for Purity

O Jesus, Son of the living God, brightness of eternal light, Who from all eternity wast begotten most pure in the bosom of the Eternal Father, and Who in time didst will to be born of a most pure and immaculate Virgin, I Thy creature, full of infirmity, beg of Thee, with all my heart, to preserve me pure in mind and body; and do Thou cause to be renewed most abundantly in the holy Church the virtue of Holy Purity for Thy greater glory and the salvation of the souls Thou hast redeemed.

In Times of Grief

Prayer For The Fallen Coal Miners

Grief is a fact of life, dear friend,

That we all have to meet it times,

It's not easy to accept it,

But we must , though it seems a crime.

We can't see God in any place,

But I assure you he is there.

We hold just some of the pieces

Of life's puzzle , so persevere --

God holds all the missing pieces

And in time they will be placed

In your life's picture puzzle --

Then your sorrow will be erased .

Lean heavily upon our lord ,

For he is always very near ,

He's beside you in times of stress ,

And in times of grief and fear.

Just pray to him for acceptance

Of the vacuum death has caused ,

The we'll give you tolerance ,

he will pull you from the jaws .

Of sorrow that's too hard to bear ,

For he understands humanity .

He'll help you carry your despair

Until all souls will be set free .

Prayer:

My heart is very heavy, lord ,

My burden is too hard to bear,

Take my cross for a little while,

And tell me that you care.

Psalm 102:

Hear my prayer, the lord ;

Let my cry come to thee!

Do not hide thy face from me

In the day of my distress!

incline thy ear to me;

Answer me speedily on the day when I call !

Psalm 4:

When I call , answer me , O my good God,

You who relieve me when I am in distress;

Have pity on me, and hear my prayer!

May our Lord comfort the bereaved in their time of need.

Fruits Of The Spirit

Scripture

Galatians 5: 22-26

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful
nature with its passions and desires.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the
Spirit.
Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each
other.

Kitchen Prayer

Bless this kitchen, LORD,
and those who gather here each day.
Let it be a place where we can meet
to love and laugh and pray.
Amen
